UCH is a not-for-profit, non-tax-supported group practice and is here to serve the community while providing medical excellence to our patients.Position Summary: The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) responsibilities combine both administrative and clinical care services. This multi-skilled role includes appointment scheduling, greets patients and visitors, registration for patients, updating demographic information, and receiving co-payments for patient visits. The CMA will assist physicians in delivering excellent patient care to our community.Key Results Areas (KRAs):
- Patient check-in and check-out
- Patient scheduling
- Precerts & Authorizations
- Prescription refill authorizations
- Chart preparation
- Phone triage
- Patient care
- Prepare/ administer oral/intramuscular medications as directed
- Perform ECG's
- Perform basic laboratory tests
- Regulatory compliance
- Charge entry
- Coding accuracy
- Other duties as assigned

RequirementsEducation & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent Required
- 2- 4 years of clerical work experience in medical setting Required
- Medical Certification such as a CMA, or Phlebotomist is Required (If candidate is not certified, they must be able to obtain certification within 90 days of employment)
