The certified medical assistant is responsible for assisting with the delivery of primary health care and patient care management for our pediatric patients. The medical assistant performs all clinical tasks required including, but not limited to obtaining and recording patient history, vitals, heights, weights, head circumferences; obtaining blood by finger stick/heel stick; perform routine blood tests; obtain urine specimens and perform urinalysis; and audio/visual screening; and the administration of all injections and immunizations. The medical assistant is expected to perform each of these tasks while providing the highest level of customer service, always showing respect, warmth, and caring to the patient/parents.
