Job Description:

Available shifts: PRN (On-Call) JOB SUMMARY: A Certified Medication Aide (CMA) will administer medications to residents while following established policies, procedures, state and federal regulations. Sapphire will provide the training and resources to keep the Certified Medication Aide (CMA) engaged and maintain top quality skills. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide residents with routine daily nursing care and services
  • Administer medications as ordered by the plan of care for each resident
  • Seek licensed staff assistance as needed and with PRN medications
  • Assure medications are given to the right person, in the right manner at the right time
  • Chart all appropriate documentation
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • As a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) you will work with nurse supervisor to monitor any changes in condition
  • Communicate both orally and written with staff, residents, family members, etc
  • Foster a supportive, compassionate environment for our residents and their families
  • Adheres to the policies and procedures of the facility
  • Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Active Certified Medication Aide (CMA) License or CNA License with proof of Certified Medication Aide (CMA) program enrollment
