As a Certified Medication Aide on our team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the right medications at the right time, with a caring touch. This position requires a perfect blend of technical expertise, attention to detail, and genuine compassion for those in your care. Responsibilities: + Administer medications to patients with care and precision, following prescribed orders + Observe and report any changes in patients' conditions or medication reactions + Maintain accurate and detailed medication administration records + Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members about medications and care + Assist in monitoring medication inventory + Provide compassionate support to patients during medication administration + Ensure compliance with medication safety protocols and regulations + Participate in care planning meetings, offering insights on medication-related matters + Assist with patient education regarding medications, demonstrating empathy and patience + Collaborate closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care Requirements + Current Certified Medication Aide certification in good standing + High school diploma or equivalent + Minimum of 1 year experience as a CMA, preferably in a similar healthcare setting + Strong knowledge of medication administration techniques and safety protocols + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills + Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities + Genuine compassion and patience when interacting with patients + Proficiency in electronic health record systems + A warm, caring approach that puts patients at ease during medication administration + Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of medication management + Strong interpersonal skills, allowing for effective communication with individuals + Ability to remain calm and composed in fast-paced or stressful situations + Commitment to ongoing learning about medications and best practices in patient care Benefits Culture makes all the difference in an organization.
