DescriptionAdministrative Duties (may include, but not limited to):
- Using computer applications
- Answering telephones
- Updating and filing client medical records
- Coding and filling out insurance forms
- Scheduling appointments
- Arranging for hospital and laboratory services
- Handling correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping
- Data entry
Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to):
- Taking medical histories
- Explaining treatment procedures to clients and staff
- Performing basic laboratory tests
- Instructing clients about medication and special diets
- Preparing and administering medications as directed
- Drawing blood
- Removing sutures and changing dressings
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
- Taking vital signs
RequirementsMEDICATION AIDE EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Completion of training and competency program approved by the State of Texas and holds a current Medication Aide Certificate from the State of Texas.
- Completion of training and competency program approved by Bayes Achievement Center.
- Preferred 2 or more years of experience
