Our CNA's work in our Skilled Nursing Facility and our Short Term Rehabilitation Center. New CNA's can earn up to $25 per hour at Brethren Village, and $26 on weekends (base rate + shift differentials), with higher rates for experienced CNA's.

Typical Work Schedules
- Full-time, benefits-eligible, 37.5 to 40 hours per week: 8 and 12-hour schedules are typically available on all shifts; work days will vary a bit from week to week and typically include every other weekend and holiday
- Part-time: part-time schedules are typically available on all shifts, including some 4-hour shifts and weekend-only schedules

- a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- basic computer skills: the ability to access and navigate web sites, and use software, apps, and databases independently
- the ability to complete online training independently
- dependability: ability and willingness to meet attendance standards
- attention to safety: ability and willingness to consistently work in a safe and alert manner, and to report to work fit for duty; commitment to wearing protective equipment as required for the position and adhering to all health and safety standards
- commitment to treating each Resident, Team Member, and member of the Brethren Village community with respect
Additional Requirements for this Position:
- a valid PA Nursing Assistant / Nurse Aide Certification (CNA)
- current CPR and First Aid certifications
- the ability and willingness to assist Residents with activities of daily living, including eating, dressing, bathing, and bathroom tasks; willingness to provide effective care to Residents with dementia or who are exhibiting challenging behaviors
- the ability to safely transfer Residents, properly using mechanical lifts when necessary; to safely push adult Residents in wheel chairs; to safely assist Residents who may begin to fall
- the ability to quickly and safely assist Residents during emergency evacuations and other emergency situations
- ability and willingness to work every other weekend and holiday
