CNA's utilize and charge for equipment and supplies and acquire necessary equipment for procedures and explains procedure to patients and families. Other duties include cleaning equipment, meal trays and restoring rooms after patient discharge. Provides direct patient care to hospice patients in their home or facility including: bathing, dressing, changing linens. Reports any patient changes or needs to RN Case Manager.Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider
- One year current hospital or nursing home Nurse Aide experience or completion of Nurse Aide Course preferred
- Current certification through the Texas Nurse Aide Registry
- Hospice and/or Home Health experience preferred
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current insurance coverage
