Job SummaryThe Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) provides essential care and support to patients, particularly in the ICU unit, while assisting with their recovery and progress monitoring. This role involves evaluating patient conditions, providing direct care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes. The CNA will also play a crucial role in identifying changes in patient conditions, responding to emergencies, and maintaining accurate records. Key Responsibilities- Patient Monitoring: Evaluate and monitor the patient's progress, identifying any sudden or subtle changes in their medical condition.
- Communication: Deliver regular updates to doctors, patients, and their family members regarding patient status and treatment.
- Treatment Support: Assist in the initiation of treatments, monitor doses, and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies, alerting the appropriate doctors and taking necessary actions to support patient care.
- ICU Care: Provide comprehensive care for patient needs throughout their recovery in the ICU unit, ensuring comfort and addressing concerns.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork before transferring a patient, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Care Planning: Assist in creating and implementing effective care plans tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
- Collaboration: Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Required QualificationsEducation:- ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) or BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) required.
Experience:- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant.
- 1 year of experience in a CNA role is preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:- CNA License is required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Additional Requirements:- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
