Together, we provide high quality care to diverse individuals and families, regardless of ability to pay.Responsibilities:* Work in collaboration with other health care providers and agencies to provide, and where appropriate, coordinate services to individuals and families. Primary health care consists of a broad range of personal health care services including:* Promotion and Maintenance of health* Prevention of illness and disability* Basic care during acute and chronic phases of illness* Guidance and counseling of individuals and families* Referrals to other health care providers and community resources when appropriate* Practices within a health care system that provides consultation, collaborative management of referral as indicated by the health status of the patient* Manages women's healthcare, including pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum care, newborn care, family planning and gynecological needs of women* Evaluates test findings, makes initial medical diagnosis and initiates appropriate action to facilitate the implementation of the therapeutic plan consistent with the continuing health care needs of the patient in accordance with accepted protocols* Works in consultation and/or collaboration with a licensed physician, assesses the physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview, health history, physical examinations and diagnostic tests* Practices in accordance with the standards for the Practice of Nurse-Midwifery as defined by the American college of Nurse-Midwives* Participates in on-call coverage for the department including day, evenings, holidays and weekends* Provides outreach and speaking to community groups* Assists in the development of procedures and policies related to accountabilities* Assists in developing and implementing metrics to measure effectiveness of this positionCompensation: $109,000 - $115,000 per year base on full time statusIndividual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position related componentsRequirements:* Must be a Registered Nurse who has graduated from an advanced education program accredited by the American College of Nurse-Midwives* Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Women's Health preferred but not required* Must have passed a national certification examination which meets strict requirements set by the state health agencies* Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills* Must be able to read, write and speak the English language; a second language of Spanish preferredWhy Neighborhood?There are many fantastic benefits to a career at Neighborhood.
