DescriptionPosition Objective: The primary function of the Certified Nursing Assistant is to deliver quality elder care, activities of daily living and related tasks. Recognize the value of each person as an individual. Support and promote resident strengths and abilities, capacity for social contribution, unique values, preferences, living habits and autonomy of choice. Embrace a vision of aging that is meaningful and relationship based.
- Follow established performance standards, facility policies & procedures and perform duties according to nursing service policies and procedures.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living as documents in the residents' care plans.
- Assure residents are given adequate assistance with meals, nourishment and transportation to meal service area(s).
- Identify resident problems and concerns and report them immediately to a charge nurse or licensed nurse.
- Conduct resident rounds as assigned.
- Report changes in residents' conditions to Charge Nurse or Nurse Supervisor and initiate corrective action as necessary.
- Document incidents and/or unusual problems according to established facility procedures.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team and other facility meetings as assigned.
- Participate in the development & implementation of an individualized plan of care for assigned residents.
- Review care plans and perform nursing care as outlined.
- Document in the nursing assistant notes the care and treatment provided to the resident and the resident's response or lack of response to care provided.
- Follow facility procedures for admission, discharge and transfer of residents.
- Complete documentation accurately, timely and following facility policies and procedures.
- Listen to resident and family complaints and report problems to Charge Nurse.
- Assure residents have call lights at hand and answer call lights promptly.
- Assure residents are given adequate assistance with personal and oral hygiene needs following facility's policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information.
- Be responsible for the safety of residents under your supervision.

RequirementsQualifications:
- Must have completed the Kansas Certified Nursing Assistant course.
- Must be sixteen (16) years of age or older.
