Licensed Practical Nurse & Certified Nursing Assistant professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. It is a demanding job but also very rewarding It is a demanding job physically ( must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, bend, lift, stand and walk without restrictions) and mentally but also very rewarding.CNA RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to)Record a patient's medical history accuratelyTake and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.Monitor patients' conditions including fluid intake and output and compose patient chartsAssist residents with ADLsCollect samples for lab testing as assignedProvide emotional and psychological support when neededCommunicate with patients' family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructionsLPN RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to)delegate duties to CNA to provide the highest level of careadminister medications and treatments according to the MAR and TAR following MD ordersProvide wound care to patients by following MD ordersadmit or discharge patients following facility protocol and MD ordersperform ongoing assessments on patients by following MD ordersexplaining medications/treatments to patients and family members following HIPAA and facility protocolfamiliar with G-tubes, and nebulizer treatments, & be comfortable with trachsSKILLSProven experience as CNA or LPNAbility to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary teamFamiliarity with hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards and proceduresUnderstanding confidentiality obligations and nursing best practicesExcellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminologyGood knowledge of MS Office and data entryPerfect physical condition and staminaExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCompassionate and able to handle stressSuccessful completion of the LPN or CNA program is a mustFirst Choice Nurses is a 12-year strong Nurse staffing agency dedicated to meeting the needs of our healthcare industry partners.
