A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will be led by our incredible, experienced Director of Nursing, LaShann Warfield. LaShann has been a leader at Parkway since 2012. She is an excellent mentor and educator, always available to work next to you on the floor whenever you need a hand.
Our #1 job at Parkway is to improve the quality of life for our residents. As a CNA, you work more closely with residents than any other position in the facility. You know them best! You create the best living situation as we care for our elders who are nearing the end of their lives. Long story short, you change lives.
CNAs are the heart of the care provided in our community. Without you, we would not be able to fulfill our purpose! You provide total care for our residents, starting with carefully assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) to residents; you know the drill...washing, bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, walking, transferring, toileting, catheter care, etc. You perform care as defined by the resident's care plan and you will complete required charting before leaving work for the day.
You live up to the trust of those in your care by maintaining confidentiality and following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) requirements as well as upholding our facility policies and procedures. Your warm and friendly demeanor makes it easy for you to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and your colleagues. You take pride in the difference you make in the lives of our residents and that makes you perfect for this nursing assistant position!
