Posting DetailsPosition Information Position Title Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor, Torrington Job Description Position: Faculty position, tenure-track, 9-month annual renewing contract, benefitted, FLSA exempt, located at the Torrington campus. College pays up to $1,000 for relocation expenses. Job Summary:The CNA Instructor is a full-time, benefitted, tenure-track, faculty categorized position located at the Torrington Campus. The CNA Instructor must use multiple learning methods in the classroom to maximize student learning. The primary duty is to prepare and deliver in-class, hybrid, and/or online instruction to students. Strong personal leadership, organization, instruction, and communication skills are needed to meet program requirements and enable student success. Full-time faculty members are contracted to teach the equivalent of 30 credit hours per academic year (Fall and Spring terms). Full-time faculty are expected to be on campus a minimum of thirty (30) hoursper week including five (5) posted office hours per week. The positionmay require travel.Essential Duties: Instruct assigned day, evening, and/or distance classes according to degree/program curricula Facilitate a student-centered positive and productive learning environment Coordinate, prepare, revise, and deliver curricula, syllabi, and lesson plans in classroom, hybrid, and/oronline settings per degree/program outline Coordinate and set up class dates and times including outreach sites Utilize the Learning Management System (Canvas) to deliver course information to students Advise and mentor students through their plan of study Maintain current and accurate records of assigned courses and students; submit grades Assess student learning outcomes and use the results to improve curricula Create new courses to meet programmatic needs; assist in meeting accreditation requirements Aid and participate in student recruitment and retention Maintain and post regular office hours; be accessible to students outside normal class time Remain current in discipline and area of assignment Serve on standing and ad-hoc committees as assigned Participate in College training and operational events Attend and participate in graduation ceremonies Perform all other duties of a similar nature or level as assignedSalary Hire Amount:- $55,000-65,000 annually for each 9-month contract period-Actual amount depends on Education and ExperienceRequired Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing Current Active Nursing License Current and valid state-issued Driver License Two (2) years as a Registered Nurse including one (1) full year working in a Long Term Care Facility (Code of Federal Regulations, Title 42, Part 483.152, Subpart D 483.150-160) Instructors must have completed a course in teaching adults or have experience in teaching adults or supervising nurse aides Background in NursingPreferred QualificationsPosting Detail Information Posting Number 148 Open Date 10/24/2024 Close DateOpen Until Filled Yes Special Instructions to Applicants -Submit: Apply online at and provide 1) Cover Letter; 2) Resume'; 3) Three letters of reference/recommendation; 4) Unofficial copies of Coll/Univ transcripts; 5) Copy of RN License; 6) Three Letter(s) of Recommendation-Incomplete applications will not be considered -Submitting false, misleading, or misrepresenting info may lead to disqualification or employment termination -Contact ...@ewc.wy.edu for approved Job Description-Copies of official transcripts and RN License must be provided if hired -Foreign transcripts/credentials must be accompanied by a US equivalency statement from an approved evaluation service -Employment contingent on successful background check results -Driving record must meet College's insurability requirement; select Management Tool at ewc.wy.edu/jobs -Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
