Job Description:

The Eye Surgery and Laser Center of Wisconsin, located in Milwaukee, WI, is excited to announce an opening for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our growing team! We are a cutting-edge facility dedicated to providing exceptional ophthalmic care, and we're looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented CNA to support our patients and medical staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist nursing staff with patient care, including pre-op and post-op assistance in an ophthalmic surgical setting.
  • Provide support with patient positioning, transporting patients to and from the operating room, and ensuring their comfort.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas, including equipment sanitization.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs as directed by the nursing team.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth, safe, and timely procedures.
  • Offer compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Required Skills

  • High school education or equivalent Certification from an accredited nursing assistant program.
  • Current certification in BLS.

Required Experience

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or clinical setting.
  • Must be competent in the use of basic office equipment including computer, printer, telephone and fax.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and remain poised and professional when interacting with potentially hostile patients and family members.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with physicians and all medical professionals.

Qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent Certification from an accredited nursing assistant program.
  • Current certification in BLS.
