Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Description:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and professional care to patients or residents in healthcare settings, such as assisted living facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Assistance with Daily Activities: Provide assistance to patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Assist patients with eating and drinking as necessary.
Observation and Reporting: Observe patients' physical and emotional conditions and report any changes to the nursing staff. Document all observations, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
Mobility Assistance: Assist patients with mobility by helping them to move in and out of bed, transferring them to wheelchairs or stretchers, and supporting them during walking or exercises as instructed by healthcare professionals.
Personal Care: Provide personal care to patients with sensitivity and respect, maintaining their dignity and privacy at all times. Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as oral care, hair care, and skin care.
Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to patients, engaging in conversations, listening to their concerns, and providing reassurance when needed. Foster a compassionate and empathetic environment for patients and their families.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate patient care and ensure holistic support for patients.
Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality, safety, and quality of care.
Qualifications:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from an accredited program.
CPR certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical stamina and strength to lift and move patients safely.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
