Job TypePart-timeDescription*Enjoy a $2 shift differential for our PM and NOC shifts!*St. Dominic Villa , an Illuminus Community, is located among the rolling hills of the picturesque driftless region in southwest Wisconsin, just south of Platteville and a short 10-minute drive from Dubuque, Iowa. Open to all, St. Dominic Villa offers long-term skilled nursing care and short-term rehab to older adults and is a truly peaceful place to live and work.We are looking for compassionate and kindhearted healthcare professionals who already have their CNA certification, are in a program to completing your CNA or are looking to start their career in health care.* Schedules: AM, PM and NOC shifts available. PRN employees must work 6 shifts per month, including 3 weekend shifts.Responsibilities* Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with residents/patients/clients and family members / personal representatives.* Responsible for maintaining a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.* Attend training sessions, staff meetings and in-services; complete required educational units annually and obtain a minimum of 12 hrs. continuing education per year.* Read and adhere to resident rights agreement and report any violations immediately.* Treat residents, families and other staff with dignity and respect.* Use proper body mechanics in the performance of all tasks, maintain a safety focus.* Only perform tasks in which they have been trained; will not operate equipment without proper instruction.* Practice universal precautions and use personal protective equipment when dealing with blood and body fluids.* Maintain a calm composed attitude when dealing with difficult residents, families or staff.* Perform personal cares and mobility of residents as assigned and as directed in resident care plan.* Maintain confidentiality.* Maintain good attendance and take breaks only as assigned.* Work cooperatively with all disciplines.* Cooperate with scheduling clerk to accomplish adequate coverage for resident cares.* Document appropriately in the medical record and effectively utilizes electronic medical record.* Report to team leader prior to the end of shift.* Performs other similar duties, as needed.Requirements* At least 16 years of age.* Active license as a Certified Nursing Assistant with State of WI (or ability to obtain).* Commitment to quality programs and services for the residents/patients/clients.* Excellent communications and human relation skills.* Ability to relate well to the residents/patients/clients, family members / personal representatives.* Ability to maintain and protect the confidentiality of information.* Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions and exhibit flexibility when needed.* Ability to hear communication and communicate verbally, visually and in writing with staff and residents.* Tolerant of interruptions and flexible when changes occur - may be subjected to verbal or physical outbursts from residents.Benefits* Employee Referral Bonus Program.* Educational Advancement/Training Opportunities (Wound care, IV administration etc., provided by our Illuminus Institute or Other External Qualifying Educational institution)* Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance* Health Saving Account with Potential Company Contributions* 401(k) with Company Match* Financial and Retirement Planning at No Charge* Paid Time Off and Holidays; Rotating Holiday Schedule (Recognizes 6 federal holidays, Rotates Yearly)* Basic Life Insurance & AD&D - Company Paid* Short and Long Term Disability - Company Paid* Voluntary Ancillary Coverage* Referral Bonuses* Employee Assistance Program* Benefits may vary depending on number of hours regularly scheduledIf you are a highly motivated individual with a passion for people and a desire to make a difference, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
