We are accepting applications for the Adjunct Certified Nursing Assistant (Health Care Ancillaries) Instructor Applicant Pool. Adjunct pools are open on a fiscal year basis for continuous recruitment for department assignments. Please review application material requirements carefully to ensure successful submission. Your application will not be considered until all required documents are received. The teaching assignment may be at the Valencia or Canyon Country campus, or other college teaching locations. Part-time faculty positions are as needed positions and do not accrue rights to tenure. Bachelor's degree in Nursing and two (2) years of full-time experience as a licensed nurse, at least one year of which must be in the provision of direct patient care in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, home care, hospice care, or other long-term care setting. In addition, the candidate must possess: * Active California Registered Nursing License; * Director of Staff Development (DSD)/Instructor Certificate prior to start; AND * One (1) year verifiable experience as a licensed nurse providing care and services to chronically ill or elderly patients in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, home care, hospice care, or other long-term care. The successful applicant must meet the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Licensing and Certification Program, Aide and Technical Certification Program (ATCS), Training Program Review Unit (TPRU) approval guidelines. Please note: * Professional experience includes both work/occupational experience and teaching experience. Conditions of Employment Assignments may include Monday through Friday (day and evening), as well as Saturday classes. Adjunct Salary Rate: Starting at $88.30 per hour.
