Position SummaryThe Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate and high-quality care to patients, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The CNA serves as a vital link between patients and healthcare professionals, playing a crucial role in patient support and communication.Key Responsibilities
Patient Care: Deliver excellent patient care, addressing their needs and preferences with empathy and respect.Support Daily Activities: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene.Vital Signs Monitoring: Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate) as required by nursing staff.Repositioning: Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent bedsores and promote comfort.Dietary Management: Ensure that patients receive the appropriate diet by reviewing dietary restrictions, food allergies, and personal preferences.Communication: Obtain and relay pertinent information about patient conditions and treatment plans from physicians, caregivers, and nursing staff.Intake and Output Monitoring: Record food and liquid intake as well as urinary and fecal output, reporting any changes to medical or nursing staff.Medication Reminders: Remind patients to take medications and nutritional supplements as prescribed.Observation and Reporting: Monitor patient behavior, noting any complaints or physical symptoms, and communicate findings to nursing staff.Training and Compliance: Stay current with CNA training, facility policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and quality care.QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent.Certification: Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) required.Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.SkillsCommunication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.Compassionate Care: Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills and attention to detail for accurate reporting and monitoring of patient conditions.Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.
