We are currently seeking a full time School Based Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide an array of nursing aide care services and related functions in a school-based clinic under direction of a nurse. The CNA will be a member of a medical care team in accordance with NCQA - Patient Centered Medical Home standards. This position will be required to travel as necessary for training and coverage at other locations. CNA Key Responsibilities:
- Providing physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene needs.
- Recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as requested by staff.
- Assisting nursing personnel with procedures within the scope of practice for nurse aide
- Reminding patients to take medications and nutritional supplements.
- Noting observations of patient behavior, including complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses.
- Stay up to date on CNA training and facility policy and procedure.
- Document as appropriate in the school-based record and the MHS electronic system if a MHS patient visit takes place.
- Complete required clinical documents for review/approval by a member of the medical staff.
- Complete other documentation to ensure accurate and timely information for client and third-party billing.
- Comply with safety requirements, infection control measures, and maintaining a clean work environment.
We are seeking CNA candidates with the following qualities:
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Successful completion of a state approved training/competency evaluation program as required for state licensure.
- Current valid license as a Certified Nurse Aide by the State of Indiana.
- Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, reliable transportation, and a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy.
