We are a growing hospice in need of dependent CNAs! Full-time opportunity in the future!

Job Overview

As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and home community care. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting patients with daily activities, monitoring their health status, and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a compassionate individual with strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating (ADLS)
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Help patients with mobility and physical exercises to enhance their rehabilitation.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and report any changes in patient conditions to nursing staff.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of patient environments by adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Assist in memory care and dementia care for patients requiring specialized attention.
  • Assist with the use and maintenance of durable medical equipment (DME)

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills or experiences:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Hospice EMR
  • Experience in memory care or dementia care settings is highly desirable.
  • Previous work experience in home community care or hospital environments is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations within ICU or OR settings.
