Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team!The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a member of the patient care team and is responsible for assisting with providing patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse. The CNA works within the Professional Practice Model of Aspirus Wausau Hospital. The Health Unit Coordinator provides support in patient care areas to visitors, patients, and staff in a professional and caring manner. HOURS: Full-time 1.0 FTE; 80 hours bi-weekly; varied shifts.
Experience/Qualifications: - Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience and completion of a nursing assistant course.
- One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting beneficial or previous work experience in a post-acute care setting or nursing home beneficial.
- Prior listing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry required with current registry recommended.
- Knowledge of patient care standards and general office practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience., and courses in computer applications and medical terminology.
- Graduation from an accredited program for Health Unit Coordinators, or training/education to meet job requirements beneficial.
- Two years' experience as a Health Unit Coordinator beneficial.
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
