Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, COTA, OTA
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant supports patient/resident well-being, rehabilitation and recovery. Screens and treats patients/residents, documents services and communicates with families and interdisciplinary team members while facilitating optimization of patient/resident participation in activities of daily living.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide professional Occupational Therapy services.
* Completes documentation accurately and timely.
* Participates in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives.
* Works efficiently and effectively whole utilizing facility resources responsibly.
* Maintains adequate and up to date knowledge of Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Services and setting specific clinical and regulatory practices.
* Complies with all facility policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
* Must have one year experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (geriatric rehabilitation setting preferred)
* Must have current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in facility-specific state
* Must have current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
* Must have current certification in Basic Life Support.
* Reliable transportation required
