Rocky Mountain Care of Logan is pleased to announce an opportunity for a full time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant working between our two beautiful Logan, UT locations. Our patients come to us with many different needs—and we can help them all! We successfully and quickly treat a variety of conditions ranging from orthopedics, stroke, post-surgical, and other debilitating causes of weakness and neurological loss.We're excited to offer our therapists an opportunity to deliver patient centered care. We empower therapists to decide what their patients need, and allow enough time in their day to deliver. There are no 15 minute encounters, we do not schedule at 125% production, and we encourage our therapists to spend the time to ensure each patient receives the care they require.*Responsibilities** Monitoring a patient's progress to make sure that they're successfully completing treatment* Encouraging the patient during their recovery process* Helping patients to improve their quality of life by finding solutions to their problem* Teaching patients with disabilities to become more independent* Updating patient records for the Occupational Therapist* Keeping the office, treatment room and equipment in good order* Teaching patients, family members or other Caregivers skills and techniques to help with the patients' treatment program*Skills** Proven working experience as a COTA* Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities* Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession* Professional behavior* Excellent interpersonal communication skills* Valid COTA licenseOur COTA will join in our goal to help each resident restore their quality of life and get back to living their lives to the fullest extent possible.
