Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Certifications:
A Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification from a Surgical Assistant/Surgical First Assistant program is required.
A National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certificate is required.
It requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Minimum Work Experience
Two years of experience as a Surgical First Assistant
