Facility amenities and features include six fitness studios, three racquetball courts, full-court basketball gym, youth activityThe Certified Personal Trainer is responsible for managing and developing health and well-being programs for individual clients or small groups.Responsibilities:* Develop intentional relationships and, using the Y voice attributes, engage members to deepen their relationship to the Y Cause.* Actively use Listen First skills to determine realistic and appropriate goals that improve the health and wellbeing of participants.* Use member engagement skills to achieve individual enrollment goals and respond to requests within 24 hours.* Conduct personal training sessions in an inclusive, fun, innovative, and safe manner with the scope of practice that results in participants achieving the two Cause Measurement goals.* Record all required information to ensure accurate billing and tracking.* Conducts and organizes personal training sessions for individuals or groups.* Builds specific programs for individuals or groups based on the intake interview and ongoing evaluation.* Actively listens to members, makes suggestions, and follows up to help support members' in reaching their fitness goals.Qualifications:* Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.* Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.* Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others.* Must be able to maintain confidentiality.Schedule:This is a part time position averaging 10-20 hours a week. Schedule requirements vary from morning, afternoon and evening with weekends possible.Required Certifications:* Personal Trainer Certification (ACE, NASM, ACSM, NETA, NSCA, or NFPT). Prerequisite upon hire.* CPR/AED.
