Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)Location: Lebanon, PA Pay Rate: $81.5/hour Positions: 4 Shifts: Mentioned below Work Duration: 07/08/2024 - 01/07/2025 Company Overview: Our client seeks Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for onsite Clinic and Surgical anesthesia services, covering a range of procedures for Department of Veterans Affairs beneficiaries. The standard of care aligns with American Society of Anesthesiologist (ASA) Guidelines. Position Summary: The successful candidate must hold a valid medical license and current board certifications (ABA-certified and BLS, ACLS, or equivalent). Responsibilities:
- Prompt attendance for scheduled clinics/surgeries, evidenced by physical presence at the appointed time.
- Provide comprehensive clinical anesthesiology services including patients undergoing general surgery, orthopedic, including joint replacement, plastic, ENT, urologic, podiatric, minor vascular, Gynecology, Endoscopy, Dental/oral and ophthalmologic operations.
- Offer primary coverage for all patients in the surgical intensive care, short stay unit, acute and chronic pain management services, diagnostic trans esophageal echocardiography for medical and surgical patients, and emergency airway management.
- Provide bedside consultations for non-ambulatory and clinic consultations for ambulatory patients.
- All services will be performed on site in accordance with specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA).
Qualifications:
- Must have a current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsite on VA property. (A once restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily revoked, voluntarily surrendered pending action or denied upon application shall not be considered for candidacy).
- Board Certification/Eligibility by ABA for CRNAs and current BLS, ACLS, or equivalent certification required.
- All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must be kept up to date at all times.
- Provide annual documentation of current certification to the VA COR throughout the contract period.
Work Hours and Conditions:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. On-Call Services would also be required.
- Clinic or Operating Room Schedule: Daily 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM weekdays, and On-Call Coverage as needed.
- Patients must be seen by a CRNA(s) on-site at the facility in a timely manner in accordance with VA Rules and Regulations on clinic wait times and consult completion. The contractor shall notify the COR at least monthly about any obstacles to meeting this performance measure.
- CRNA(s) shall be available and present in the clinic during normal facility clinic hours, which will be established, and may be revised, as deemed appropriate for patient care by the Chief of Staff.
- Off-hours Coverage: CRNA(s) must be available on-call during all hours when the facility clinic is closed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- On-call CRNA's must be available at all times for phone consultations with VA providers and CRNAs.
On-call providers must be available within 15 minutes by phone and on-site, within 60 minutes.
