Job Description:

Seeking a CRNA who practices both autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of healthcare providers to deliver high-quality, holistic, evidence-based anesthesia and pain care services. The CRNA cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic and pain management. Key Job Responsibilities: • Performs and documents the preanesthesia assessment and evaluation of the patient. • Obtains informed consent for anesthesia and related services. • Reviews, requests, and orders laboratory/diagnostic studies. • Selects, obtains, orders, and administers preanesthetic mediation or treatment. • Develops and implements an anesthesia care plan. Provides postanesthesia follow-up and care. • Selects, obtains, prepares, and uses equipment, invasive and non-invasive monitors, supplies, and medications for the administration of sedation, anesthesia, and pain management services; perform safety checks as needed. • Selects, orders, obtains, and administers analgesic and anesthetic agents, adjuvant drugs, accessory drugs, fluids, or blood products necessary to provide anesthesia services. • Performs all aspects of airway management, including fiberoptic intubation. • Initiates and administers post-anesthesia pharmacological or fluid support of the cardiovascular system. Initiates and administers respiratory support to ensure adequate ventilation and oxygenation in the postoperative period. • Evaluates the patient's response to anesthesia and surgery; take appropriate corrective action during the postanesthesia period. • Discharges the patient from the postanesthesia care unit. • Implements acute and chronic pain management modalities. • Places and manages regional anesthetic techniques, as delineated by clinical privileges.Education and Experience: • Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council • Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists• Licensed as Registered Nurse to practice professional nursing in the state of employment• Licensed as APN with the Tennessee Board of Nursing • Current certifications in BLS,ACLS and PALS PREFERREDKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Ability to perform clinically as a nurse anesthetist in the facility setting on a regular basis. • Ability to operate, use, and interpret data from a wide variety of equipment to perform anesthesia care as well as necessary perioperative or operating room care to support the safety and well-being of the patient while they are under the direct care of the CRNA. • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population served. • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to the population-specific and age specific needs. • Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques. • Ability to maintain confidential records. • Ability to implement and adhere to facility policies and procedures. Compensation:• $90-$117/hour (based on experience)• 6% retirement match with 5-year vesting schedule• 7 weeks PTO• Comprehensive insurance coverage• 5 days/$3000 CME• License and certification dues
