Seeking a CRNA who practices both autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of healthcare providers to deliver high-quality, holistic, evidence-based anesthesia and pain care services. The CRNA cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic and pain management. Key Job Responsibilities: • Performs and documents the preanesthesia assessment and evaluation of the patient. • Obtains informed consent for anesthesia and related services. • Reviews, requests, and orders laboratory/diagnostic studies. • Selects, obtains, orders, and administers preanesthetic mediation or treatment. • Develops and implements an anesthesia care plan. Provides postanesthesia follow-up and care. • Selects, obtains, prepares, and uses equipment, invasive and non-invasive monitors, supplies, and medications for the administration of sedation, anesthesia, and pain management services; perform safety checks as needed. • Selects, orders, obtains, and administers analgesic and anesthetic agents, adjuvant drugs, accessory drugs, fluids, or blood products necessary to provide anesthesia services. • Performs all aspects of airway management, including fiberoptic intubation. • Initiates and administers post-anesthesia pharmacological or fluid support of the cardiovascular system. Initiates and administers respiratory support to ensure adequate ventilation and oxygenation in the postoperative period. • Evaluates the patient's response to anesthesia and surgery; take appropriate corrective action during the postanesthesia period. • Discharges the patient from the postanesthesia care unit. • Implements acute and chronic pain management modalities. • Places and manages regional anesthetic techniques, as delineated by clinical privileges. Education and Experience: • Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council • Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists • Licensed as Registered Nurse to practice professional nursing in the state of employment • Licensed as APN with the Tennessee Board of Nursing • Current certifications in BLS,ACLS and PALS PREFERRED Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Ability to perform clinically as a nurse anesthetist in the facility setting on a regular basis. • Ability to operate, use, and interpret data from a wide variety of equipment to perform anesthesia care as well as necessary perioperative or operating room care to support the safety and well-being of the patient while they are under the direct care of the CRNA. • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population served. • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to the population-specific and age specific needs. • Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques. • Ability to maintain confidential records. • Ability to implement and adhere to facility policies and procedures. Compensation: • $90-$117/hour (based on experience) • 6% retirement match with 5-year vesting schedule • 7 weeks PTO • Comprehensive insurance coverage • 5 days/$3000 CME • License and certification dues
