Role: Certified Surgical TechnicianLocation: Binghamton, NYContract Duration: 13 weeks contract with a possibility of extensionPay Rate: Up To $39/hrWork Schedule: 40 hrs/week, Thursday, Friday & Saturday with on call rotation 7a-7pShift: 7am - 7pmCOVID VACCINE AND FLU SHOT REQUIREDREQUIREMENTS:

• A graduate of an accredited surgical technician program and surgical technician certification.
• BLS/CPR and CST Required
• ACLS required
• CPI required
• Need at least 2 yrs of ST experience
• prefer some robotic, cardiothoracic and general cases experience;
• may need to float to other hospitals within a 40 mile radius
• 2 Professional References
• On call required

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Setting up the instruments and equipment that is required for the procedure
• Sterilizing equipment and taking an inventory to ensure there are enough supplies for surgery
• Preparing the patient for surgery
• Passing the Surgeon instruments and sterile supplies throughout the operation
• Taking a count of all surgical instruments and supplies prior to the operation
• Recounting surgical instruments and supplies at the end of the operation
• Maintaining an overall sterile environment throughout the surgery
