- On-call obligations
- Arrange instrument trays
- Prepare sterile drapes and solutions,
- Assist with prep of patients as needed.
- Pass instruments to surgeons and surgical assistants.
- May assist with sponge, needle, and other supply counts to track materials used in surgery.
- May operate suction, diagnostic, and sterilizing equipment, and package specimens to take for laboratory analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS- High School Diploma/GED Required
- 1 year Surgery Preferred
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association within 90 Days Required and
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Required
TRAVEL IS REQUIRED:Never or Rarely
