Job DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete assessment of patients within the scope of practice.
- Understands etiology of types of wounds including surgical, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcer, arterial ulcers, venous ulcers, and traumatic wounds.
- Recommends appropriate wound care management strategies' by collaborating with Physicians and staff.
- Assists Physician during debridement and/or minor amputations.
- Evaluates patient response to treatment.
- Has basic understanding of wound care products and advanced treatment modalities including Coban 2, regenerative medicine products and such other related products.
- Perform physical, psychological, and cultural nursing needs of patient.
- Provides ongoing reassessments in conjunction with the primary nurse or physician of patients.
- Communicate with the appropriate team members
- Provides patient and family education regarding hyperbaric oxygen therapy and wound care needs as well as unit and procedural orientation.
- Assists the hyperbaric physician in initiating a plan of care based on the HBO diagnosis and medical diagnosis.
- Follows universal precautions and safe infection control.
- Knowledge of Regulatory Standards as per Hospital. (JCAHO, OSHA, Corporate Compliance, HIPPA, and Risk Management).

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Nursing staff with current state license in good standing.
- BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred.
- Wound care experience, Required. Wound Care Certification, Preferred
Demonstrates working knowledge of various EMR (ALLSCRIPTS, EPIC, CERNER, etc..)
