Job Description
D2 is seeking a Chief Operating Officer / Chief Financial Officer (COO/CFO) to join its executive team in Dallas, TX. The qualified candidate will have a strategic mindset, capable of managing both operational and financial aspects of a growing firm. The COO/CFO will be responsible for overseeing the firm's day-to-day operations while simultaneously managing its financial strategy and reporting. This role requires developing and implementing operational strategies, managing IT, human resources, legal, compliance, and administrative functions, and collaborating with the investment team to enhance operational efficiency.
The COO/CFO will oversee all operational and financial activities of the investment vehicles and management company, including subscriptions, redemptions, accounting, reporting, tax compliance and liquidity management. They will develop financial models and forecasts, manage relationships with investors, vendors, counterparties, banks and financial institutions, and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
The role involves significant leadership and strategic elements, including working with the firm's leadership to align financial and operational decisions with investment strategy and serving as a key contact for investors, counterparties and other stakeholders. This is a highly visible position with direct involvement in shaping the firm's future. The COO/CFO will be expected to build and lead high-performing teams across operations and finance functions, and to adapt to the evolving needs of a growing organization.
