We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Summary: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a leadership role within TASC, overseeing all financial aspects of the organization. This position will provide strategic financial leadership, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and support the organization's mission and vision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Strategy and Planning
Develop and implement financial strategies that support the organization's mission and objectives.Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans with the executive team.Monitor financial performance against budget and provide regular reports to the CEO and board of directors.Financial Management and Reporting
Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and reporting.Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and nonprofit regulations.Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, highlighting key metrics and trends.Oversee corporate purchasing activities. Negotiate and review vendor contracts.Negotiate, review, and execute grant and revenue contracts.Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures.Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and nonprofit accounting standards.Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure financial integrity.Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.Grant Management and Funding
Oversee the financial aspects of grant management, including budgeting, reporting, and financial compliance with grant requirements.Revenue Cycle Management
Oversee the billing process for commercial, managed care and government insurance programs (Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, etc.).Work with operations staff and the training team to maximize clean claims, as well as utilization management.Team Leadership and Development
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Provide supervision and direction for Facilities Management and Office Services, Toxicology Laboratory, and Management Information Systems.Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in financial management.Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate with operational leaders to align financial strategies with programmatic goals.Serve as a spokesperson for financial matters, effectively communicating financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Technology and Process Improvement
Evaluate and implement financial systems and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations.Continuously assess and improve financial processes to enhance organizational effectiveness.Qualifications
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, CPA preferred.Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in the nonprofit healthcare sector.Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and financial regulations.Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.Exceptional leadership and team management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.Required Skills:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good management and leadership skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Ability to plan and coordinate many projects simultaneously.Our benefits package includes:
