Our client is an affordable luxury home builder based in Central Florida, specializing in creating residential communities across the region. They are searching for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their growing team in Orlando, FL!Salary:$150-200k base salary + bonus + full comprehensive benefitsJob Summary:The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, overseeing all financial operations of the company. This role is pivotal in driving the company's financial strategy, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and supporting sustainable growth. The CFO will manage the finance and accounting departments, implement robust financial controls, and provide insights to guide decision-making processes.Job Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Financial Leadership:
    • Act as a financial advisor to the CEO and executive team, contributing to strategic planning and organizational development.
    • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with company goals for growth and expansion.
    • Identify and evaluate investment opportunities, partnerships, and funding sources to support business objectives.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
    • Lead the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational needs.
    • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to enhance profitability and efficiency.
  • Accounting and Compliance:
    • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
    • Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
  • Capital Management and Financing:
    • Develop and execute strategies to secure capital for growth, expansion, and ongoing operations.
    • Manage and optimize company lines of credit, ensuring sufficient liquidity to support business needs.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and private lenders.
    • Prepare and present detailed financial reports and projections to lenders and investors to secure favorable financing terms.
    • Negotiate loan agreements, credit facilities, and other financial arrangements to align with the company's objectives.
    • Monitor and assess the company's debt levels, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and financial stability.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
    • Recruit, train, and retain top talent within the finance department.
    • Set performance objectives and conduct regular evaluations to ensure team members meet organizational standards.
  • Risk Management and Operational Efficiency:
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company's long-term financial health.
    • Oversee cash flow management, capital expenditures, and financial forecasting.
    • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role within the home building or construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems relevant to the home building industry.
