General Summary :
Reporting to the Division Chief Executive Officer, the CFO is responsible for strategic oversight and operational effectiveness of the financial function of the division. Research, plan, and implement business development, such as joint venture clinical programs, program expansion, and other revenue maximization strategies. Provide oversight of the analysis, design, development and implementation of division-wide finance activities that integrate best practices into the following areas: accounting, finance, decision support, budgeting and managed care.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
+ Develop and implement operating and capital objectives and targets.
+ Research, plan, and implement business development, such as joint venture clinical programs, new campus expansion, and other revenue maximization strategies.
+ Oversight of the analysis, design, development and implementation of division-wide finance activities that integrate best practices into the following areas: accounting, finance, decision support, budgeting and managed care.
+ Serve on boards as assigned and report regularly to board finance committees within the division.
+ Provide strategic oversight to the divisions/entities accounting and finance functions ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, developing processes that consistently ensure effective staffing, strong staff engagement and appreciation, and appropriate systems for effective and supportive management engagement with staff.
+ Responsible for the talent management of staff within areas of oversight with the expectation to develop leaders in the division.
+ Drive best practices throughout the division to achieve successful outcomes in expense management, efficient revenue cycle, and strategic revenue growth.
+ Represent and positively promote AdventHealth's programs and services in the community.
+ Facilitate organizational consensus and manages business relationships with internal and external stakeholders through increasing organizational knowledge on strategic and operational levels.
+ Oversight of the development and deployment of data to support strategic budgeting and decision making throughout the division.
+ Integrate employee development and cross training, thereby extending the work culture that is in collaborative alignment with objectives across business entities.
+ Oversight of the development and implementation of strategic and operational performance metrics to maximize organization's revenue and management of expense structure, while providing superior customer satisfaction to internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
+ Exceptional people management and leadership skills including motivating, communicating and conflict resolution
+ Highly advanced financial skills including budgeting, analyzing, and planning
+ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Able to effectively express ideas and views through public speaking, presentations, reports and professional correspondence
+ Strong business acumen, intelligence, and capacity; able to think strategically and implement tactically.
+ Approaches work as an interconnected system. Ability to understand major objectives and break them down into meaningful action steps.
+ Strong organizational abilities and the flexibility to adjust to changing conditions and the various details of the position.
+ Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office suite.
Qualifications
Education, Licensure and Experience Required :
+ Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or accounting
+ CPA
+ Minimum 5 years in a senior financial management position in healthcare setting
Education, Licensure and Experience Preferred :
+ Master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field
+ 10 years in a senior financial management position in healthcare setting
+ Comprehensive understanding of healthcare economics and value-based care
