Job Description:

As the CFO, Theatricals, the primary objective is to provide first class financial leadership and support to the Theatricals business and thus enable the Finance function to contribute to increasing the groups EBITDA, cash flow, and shareholder value. The Theatricals CFO role has responsibility for the Theatricals accounting function, including the consolidation and reporting of Theatricals monthly financials.

What youll do:

Financial stewardship

    • Operate as a financial and commercial partner to the Chief Theatricals Executive.
    • Assess financial and commercial returns on new Theatrical investments and strategic initiatives.
    • Actively engage with the business to focus on improving gross and EBITDA margins.
    • Provide Concord board with historical and future reporting and insight.

Financial reporting and consolidation

    • Oversee and lead Theatricals finance team preparing monthly management accounts. These management accounts, in group format, are used to report financial performance to business managers, management team, board, and shareholders.
    • Critically appraise monthly financial performance providing monthly finance report detailing key variances.
    • Enhance management information available for decision-making, particularly gross profit and EBITDA-related information.
    • Ensure group accounting policies are consistently applied throughout Concord Theatricals.

Financial planning

    • Work with business managers to create detailed and accurate revenue, overhead and investment forecasts and budgets.
    • Submit consolidated forecasts and budgets in group reporting format.
    • Monthly detailed pipeline licensing revenue and overage analysis, identifying potential budget variance issues in advance of reporting.
    • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses for senior management.

Cash management

    • Manage Concord Theatrical cash resources, including control over working capital.
    • Ensure completion of rolling cash flow forecasts.
    • Prepare monthly advance and working capital analyses for the division.

What youll need:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting required, with a Masters Degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
  • A CPA qualified accountant, with a minimum of 8 years post qualification accounting experience in a senior management position (Either CFO or Board Level).
  • Exceptional leadership skills and considerable leadership experience, with the ability to evaluate and elevate employee capabilities.
  • Good business judgment and the ability to grasp the big picture.
  • Commercial experience of theatrical and/or live entertainment sector highly recommended.
  • Proven experience with organizational and process design.
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills with ability to interface with all levels of leadership and employees.

Salary Range: $250,000 - 300,000.

*This job is hybrid- requiring 3 days a week minimum on site.
