Century Group is partnering with a company who is seeking a temporary Payroll Clerk to join their team. This position will be fully onsite in their Camarillo, CA office. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $20 to $25 per hour. Job Description:
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports
- Calculate and issue final wages for terminated employees
- Process 401(k) contribution changes, ensure all 401(k) funds are submitted, and remit monies for 401(k) accounts on pay dates
- Input new hire information and employee status changes in HRIS/payroll system
- Assemble, audit, and maintain new hire personnel files.
- Train employees on how to use the timekeeping system
- Prepare reports for month end processing and input related journal entries
Requirements:
- Attention to detail, deadline-driven, organizational skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
- Experience with investigating and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Previous payroll software experience
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field and a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience
