Are you looking for a career in the beverage alcohol industry? Then come join our team at Alabama Crown as a Chain Accountant Specialist for our Huntsville location. The position helps to enhance Alabama Crown's presence in retail outlets in a variety of accounts.
Responsibilities:
The purpose of this position is to help enhance Alabama Crown's presence in retail outlets by assisting with and completing shelf resets in a variety of accounts, as well as presenting sales proposals to Retail Accounts.
Will travel to various customer locations to stock product, clean and maintain shelving, build displays, place advertising material.
Role will include learning sales order software and sales techniques in various territories within the Huntsville/North Alabama Area as well as other duties as assigned.
- Work with Sales Supervisors and Sales Representatives to sell in preferred plan-o-gram for Alabama Crown.
- Make certain shelves are set by plan-o-gram
- Look for opportunities to sell in new items and shelf positions while at resets.
- Add new approved brands to set in flex space.
- Review cold box & sell in new beer & wine brands.
- Make certain all products are properly rotated.
- Check for current vintages & make certain all products are saleable.
- Make certain all tags are hung & pricing is correct.
- Make certain fill in order is written & submitted after reset is complete.
- Responsible for working with Chain Account Managers, Supervisors, and Sales Reps.
- Responsible for learning 10 steps to a sales call.
- Become familiar with & get to know set personnel, set captains & Grocery Merchandisers.
- Responsible for learning territory management & new account set up procedures.
- Responsible for learning & selling in all territories & new accounts.
- Responsible for learning to evaluate accounts for opportunities with displays, distribution priorities & cold box placements.
- Responsible for learning to use the Sales Reps computers to input orders & write up orders for the day.
- Responsible for learning how to run an open sales territory when needed.
- Responsible for calling on & selling into select Key Accounts to maximize Alabama Crown's business.
- Responsible for building relationships with Regional & District Managers.
- Responsible for making sales presentations & look for new opportunities to grow our business.
- Responsible for continually educating yourself on all commodities that Alabama Crown sells.
- Show professionalism in all areas at all times:
- Attend all sales meeting promptly & with enthusiasm.
- Wear Proper Attire, Provide Professional Conduct, Build Professional Relationships, Ensure Proper & Thorough Follow up, Create and Present Sales Presentations/Proposals.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have high school diploma or GED equivilent.
- Must be able to lift at least 45lbs. occasionally/frequently to build displays and stock shelves with product.
- Knowledge of similar industry is preferred.
- Must have good people/communication skills and willingness to work with store owners, managers and sales reps.
- Must be able to push, pull and carry cases of product (i.e. building displays and stocking shelves).
- Must be able to work long & flexible hours.
- Must possess a valid Alabama drivers license.
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to maintain 100/300/100 insurance limitations.
- Motor vehicle record will be pulled to establish employment eligibility
- no DUI, reckless driving, or hit and run in past 5 years
- no more than two moving violations,accidents or super speeder in past three years
- Background checks (i.e. Police backgrounds, reference checks)
- Drug free workplace.
- Must be able to drive to and from Florence/Decatur/Athens/Madison/Huntsville, AL areas.
- Must be able to work long & flexible hours.
- Must be willing to work weekends.
