Essential Functions The Department is seeking a Chair who will provide visionary leadership to strategically plan the direction and growth of the Department, build upon strengths, and forge collaborations across and beyond campus.Minimum Qualifications The successful candidate will have earned a Ph.D. in English or a closely related field, area of specialization open. The candidate must be eligible for appointment at the rank of Professor, with significant record of peer-reviewed publications and evidence of teaching excellence, proven administrative skills, a strong record of academic leadership, outstanding interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate, interact and mediate effectively with students, colleagues, staff and alumni, and visionary leadership to strategically plan the direction and growth of the Department.Preferred Qualifications The ability to build upon strengths and forge collaborations across and beyond campus.Compensation and Benefits
