Board of Directors Appointments 2024Food for the Hungry is a Faith Based Christian humanitarian aid and global development organization that designs, develops and delivers solutions so that children, families, and communitiescan flourish. We serve nearly 10 million people in 18 countries, empowering communities to realize their potential.We are looking for 2-3 new board members to join us on our transformation journey. From a western-centric organization to a wholly local and global organization.Achieving these paradigm shifts requires a Board that is open and strategic while being rooted in our Heartbeat values that guide our Christian calling to do justice.Role DescriptionThe Board of Directors serve the Food for the Hungry mission by investing their personal convictions and relevant experiences to help end poverty. We have a clear need for a strategic financial leader to strengthen our Finance and Enterprise Risk Committee.Our priority is finding Board Directors who fulfill these essential criteria:

Be grounded in a personal faith journey in Jesus Christ;

Have experience in transformational organizational change;

Offer creative, strategic, and systemic thinking;

Able to operate in fiduciary, strategic, and generative modes;

Develop trusting partnerships with the executive team while exercising mature governance boundaries.Person SpecificationNew Board Directors will bring:

Commitment to Food for the Hungry's Heartbeat and a mature Christian faith;

A good understanding of the legal duties and responsibilities of Board Directors;

International outlook with experience building cross-cultural relationships;

Experience in high-level strategy development;
