The Zucker School of medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Health and Lenox Hill Hospital invite applications for the position of Chair of the Department of Radiology of Lenox Hill Hospital. The health system is seeking an exceptional, dynamic, and visionary board-certified radiologist and leader capable of shaping an innovative and evolving radiology department, serving the greater metropolitan New York area.

As Chair of Radiology at Lenox Hill Hospital, this leader will develop and execute the strategic vision for radiological services. This individual will oversee the quality, efficiency, and access of clinical programs. Based on a national or international reputation in the field of radiology, this individual will help to recruit physicians. Through the continued advancement of clinical services, education and research, the Chair will significantly elevate the national reputation of the Department of Radiology both at Lenox Hill Hospital and system-wide at Northwell Health during their tenure. To be successful, this Chair must take a concerted approach to partnering with key constituency groups in and outside the Department of Radiology effectively collaborating with various key stakeholders at Lenox Hill Hospital and Northwell Health.

The Chair of Radiology will leverage significant resources and institutional dedication, including over 250 attending radiologists, 165 Zucker School of Medicine faculty, 100 residents, and 6 fellows. The number of studies/interventions performed annually is over 2.5 million, with greater than 1000 employees providing technical and administrative support, helping the department to become recognized as one of the best radiology programs in the country. The Chair of Radiology will have the opportunity to develop and build new clinical programs within one of the nation's largest health care systems caring for one of the most diverse patient populations in the world.

The Department of Radiology

The Lenox Hill Radiology department includes 32 radiology experts serving as a multidisciplinary team that provides radiological care for the treatment and diagnosis of all specialty care areas. The department performs more than 160,000 diagnostic and therapeutic procedures annually with a multitalented, dedicated and growing team. Each year, the department trains 17 residents who have gone on to serve in prestigious roles throughout the larger radiology community.

The ideal candidate for this role will be board certified by the ABR or comparable credentials and administrative/leadership experience at an academic medical center, such as Chair, Vice Chair, and/or Section/Division Chief. We are seeking a nationally recognized clinical leader with experience in clinical, research, and teaching achievements, commensurate with appointment to the faculty at the rank of Professor.
