Description:NIGHT CHARGE NURSE$10,000 Sign on Bonus!History:Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. It is located in the heart of West Texas. Opened in 1949, the hospital was originally located near downtown Stanton. This facility served the community well for many years, but was replaced with a state of the art 18 bed facility in 2012. The new facility is located on I20, and has been designated as a Critical Access Hospital.Summary of Responsibilities:Works under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer and assures provision of care to the assigned patient population in a professional manner, utilizing the nursing process and principles of continuous quality improvement in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team. The Charge Nurse is responsible for the supervision of Nursing Department staff members assigned to the shift. The Charge Nurse is responsible for assigning duties, examining work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. The Charge Nurse is also responsible for successful organizational and administrative operation of the shift in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. They also assure the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained at all times.Requirements:Education:Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursingLicenses/Certificates:Current Registered Nurse license certified by the State of Texas or licensure from a state within the nursing compact required.Hold current CPR/BLS or obtain upon hire.Credentials in an advanced cardiac life support course (e.g. ACLS or hospital equivalent) preferred.Credentials in a nationally recognized pediatric advanced life support course (e.g. PALS or ENPC) preferredTNCC preferredExperience:A minimum of 1 year nursing experience is requiredMust possess typing skills and general computer experienceMust possess leadership and interpersonal skillsMust possess skills in time management and organizationMust be able to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable mannerHas verbal ability to understand oral and written instructions stated in medical terms and ability to communicate with exchange information with hospital staff and patients.Mission StatementCommitted to excellence, Martin County Hospital District will provide the highest quality, compassionate care to improve the lives of those we serve.Vision StatementMartin County Hospital District strives to ensure the availability and viability of patient-centered primary and specialty care in a rural setting.Martin County Hospital District is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity, strong morals, values, and ethics.
