Responsibilities:

Expectations:

Conducts appropriate reviews using critical thinking skills to understand how to transfer paymentsReviews and posts payments and write-off/adjustments from insurance and patientsIdentifies and researches unusual, complex or escalated issues Documents all activities and findings in accordance with established policies and proceduresMaintains current knowledge of internal, industry, and government regulations as applicable to assigned functionEstablishes and maintains professional and effective relationships with peers and other stakeholdersQualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalentKnowledge of general concepts and practices that relate to the healthcare field, debits and credits, clinic operations, regulatory/reporting requirements, operation and application of automated systems, and government/commercial insurance reimbursement termsExcellent customer service, attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to maintain confidentiality of medical records, troubleshootingAbility to understand and apply detailed billing requirements and cash posting processes and effectively prioritize Preferred Qualifications:One to three years of revenue cycle or related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge and abilitiesGraduation from a post-high school program in medical billing or other business-related field
