Qualifications
- Appropriate coaching certification as regulated by the IHSA --OR-- Illinois Professional Educator License
- Strong knowledge of the sport and an ability to teach and develop the skills of our student-athletes
- Ability to build relationships and serve as a positive role model for students
- Effective communication skills with students and adults
- Willingness and ability to work nights, holidays, evenings and weekends
- Willing to travel with the team to different locations for practices/games, as needed
Compensation
- This is a Differential position. The differential pay scale can be found in the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Champaign Federation of Teachers, which is available on our website. Coaches with 5+ years of experience are compensated at a higher rate than those with more limited experience. Employment as a coach is on an at-will basis.
