Seacrest Retirement Center seeks an experienced homestyle cook for our assisted-living West Haven center to join our team.
Qualified applicants will have experience preparing homestyle food that tastes great in a professional environment. Excellent plating skills are a must. Serving a safe experience and certificate is a plus, or they will be willing to take the course and exam.
Part—or full-time positions are available. Hours are flexible—6 am to 1:30 pm or 9 am to 6 pm. Some weekend time is required.
Professional work experience or training is NOT required, but we want a FOODIE who is dependable, loves the elderly, and cooks great food nicely plated. We are a scratch kitchen for the most part. Many of our best people have cooked for a large family, done some catering, ect-
Maturity, excellent hygiene and cleanliness, a great work ethic, a clean criminal background, and a willingness to chip in and be a team player are all essential attributes.
Interaction with our clientele is required. This position requires someone who enjoys talking and engaging with the elderly and other team members.
The cook is responsible for meal preparation, serving the meal, and helping to keep a clean environment.
Wages commensurate with experience and suitability Dependability is critical.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE IS NOT ESSENTIAL. WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT INDIVIDUAL. Good domestic skills, a love of food, and making people happy are more important.
