Chef-driven Eastside restaurant is seeking a driven CDC with a passion for hands-on guidance and mentorship to oversee their multi-outlet kitchen. Looking for an individual who appreciates the heart and soul of a thriving restaurant. This is a creative opportunity in which this chef will collaborate with leadership on developing the menus and seasonal specials across the outlets. Notable experience in Italian cuisine and fresh pasta making is highly valued.
Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities:
- Developing new menu items in conjunction with Executive Chef
- Collaborate with leadership on menu and seasonal specials
- Proactively managing costs and budgets
- Maintaining proper ordering and inventory
- Staff Management: scheduling, hiring, training
- Mentoring a strong team through hands-on leadership
- Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
Chef de Cuisine Preferred Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar position (Executive Sous Chef, CDC, Senior Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager)
- Creative, innovative thinking
- Italian cuisine and fresh pasta-making experience
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
Compensation / Benefits:
- Base salary in the $85-100k range
