JOB DESCRIPTION: CHEF
FoJo Beans seeks a self-motivated Chef to assume creative responsibility for our culinary creations Wednesday - Sunday 8:30-2:30 (flexible). A keen attention to detail (i.e., following/creating recipes, plating, and cleaning) is essential.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Create and prepare high-quality dishes according to menu specifications- Oversee and manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and assistants- Maintain a clean and organized work area- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and maneuver 150 pounds
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and practices- Strong leadership and management skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously- Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures-A passion for small business and quality products- Proof of vaccination against COVID 19 required
