Summary/Objective: The Chemical Cleaning Technician will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of the whole body for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials, emergency response, and handling chemicals.
Responsibilities: - Operate and set-up all necessary cleaning equipment such as low-pressure, high-volume pumps and circulators in accordance with operational, training, guidelines, and safety procedures.
- Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
- Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and heavy industrial settings.
- Install, fit, repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment.
- Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, chemical circulators, and general work area prior to starting any job. Inform supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.
Qualifications: - Must be capable of passing a hair follicle and urine drug screen. (Including randoms)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- General labor experience is a plus.
- Experience in chemical cleaning chemistry is a plus.
- Must be able to travel for extended periods of time.
- Valid driver's license or identification card
- CDL is a plus (Class A preferred)
- Respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week if called upon.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time in extreme temperature environments and at high elevation.
- Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to understand and follow specific procedures and directions.
- Ability to lift, move and handle up to 50lbs.
Physical Requirements - Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Physically capable of standing and/or walking continuously for long periods of time if necessary.
- Physically capable of climbing, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously.
