Sign on bonus:

$5,000 LMHP/Masters level, $2,500 LADC

Responsibilities:

Provides individual, family, and group sessions for clients and their families who suffer from substance abuse and/or dependency. Implements assessments, treatment plans, and discharge plans on all clients assigned to their caseload. Actively communicates with referral sources to secure ongoing services for clients preparing to discharge from current levels of care. Works primarily with adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients.

  • Establishes and maintains effective therapeutic relationships with clients and/or families and significant others who are experiencing a variety of complex substance abuse problems.
  • Demonstrates skills in individual, family, and group settings as they apply to primary substance abuse issues.
  • Conducts chemical dependency assessments and evaluations to include complete biopyschosocial assessment process.
  • Keeps clinical records to include orientation, assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, treatment plan update/staffing reviews, discharge plans, etc.
  • Provides educational lectures to both clients and their families in areas specific to substance abuse and prevention.
Qualifications:

Education

  • Requires the knowledge of counseling substance abusers equivalent to completing a Masters degree in the Human Services Field and/or PLADC/LADC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor).

License/Certification

  • Requires licensure as a mental health practitioner: PLMHP/LMHP and/or PLADC/LADC. Dual licensure is preferred.
