Job Description:

A reputable chemical manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Production Manager. In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee the manufacturing of products by scheduling, organizing, supervising staff, and monitoring work flow and production activities as required. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a team operating various equipment, including automatic/manual machinery, forklifts, and other tools for blending, dispensing, filling, and packaging products.
  • Maintain expertise in FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to uphold quality and compliance. P
  • Oversee daily production operations to meet department schedules and ensure timely delivery of quality products.
  • Ensure all products are manufactured and packaged per batch ticket specifications and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or process-related production challenges.
  • Provide training and guidance to new and existing team members to ensure operational excellence.
  • Foster a culture of safety by promoting safe work practices and maintaining a clean, orderly work environment.
  • Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety policies and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit daily production reports as required by management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a chemical manufacturing environment (preferably soap or hair care)
  • Proven experience working in a GMP-compliant facility.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead and collaborate with a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and related software applications.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules as needed.
  • Willingness to wear necessary personal protective equipment, such as steel/composite-toe boots, safety glasses, aprons, gloves, respirators, or face shields, as required.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, computer work, and walking within the facility.
  • Ability to access and navigate the production facility as needed.
  • Capability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
